Quintec Associates Limited was formed in 1989 and today employs over 170 professional systems engineering and systems integration staff.
Quintec was founded expressly to provide specialist technical support to Government procurement projects. In 2000, Quintec was acquired by the Thales Group: however Quintec remains an autonomous, limited company with an executive management that is essentially unchanged since the acquisition. The company operates as Quintec Associates Ltd (legal entity) and Thales Consulting & Engineering (UK) [1](TC&EUK). The names are synonymous.
While a large proportion of the company’s business comes from Defence, a significant proportion is derived from non-defence work including support direct to government departments and transport. The company is a UK MoD ListX approved supplier, and is certificated to ISO 9001.
The company offers specialist technical systems consultancy and resource to the defence and transport industries, conducts systems assessment and feasibility studies, undertakes risk management and requirements engineering, and provides full management support for complex, secure programmes.
Quintec also has wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of software and hardware information systems design, development, integration, management and security.
