The Home Office information, systems and technology strategy is a coordinated, cross-business strategy that will enable the Home Office to meet its objectives.

It reflects the department's intent - signalled at the start of 2006 by the establishment of the Office of the Chief Information Officer - to take a strategic approach to information and technology.

The strategy was developed in conjunction with the department's business and technical leads, and has been endorsed by the Home Office board.

This IST document sets out the direction of IST within the Home Office.
