RAF Career
Air Commodore Graham Wright began his RAF career in 1977 as a University Cadet and on completion of training was posted to RAF Coltishall flying the Jaguar. He subsequently served 5 flying tours on Jaguar including appointments as Officer Commanding 41(F) Squadron and as Station Commander RAF Coltishall. During this time he saw operational service in Gulf war 1, the Balkans and the No Fly Zones of Iraq. He has undertaken staff appointments within HQ Strike Command (now Air Command) and the MOD, and was detachment commander for the Kosovo Air campaign for which he was awarded the OBE. Subsequently was awarded the CBE in 2006 after his time as Station Commander and Jaguar Force Commander.
Current Work
Air Commodore Wright graduated from the Higher Command and Staff course in April 2006 and took up his current appointment within the Ministry of Defence where he is responsible for strategic level planning & advice for all aspects of Information Operations and Targeting - including the operational lead in the field of computer network operations.
