Background
DNV IT Global Services Ltd are a business area of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) who were originally formed in 1864 as a foundation to develop and promote better standards in the Norwegian shipping industry. Since then DNV has developed it services in Maritime, Petro Chemical, Food processing as well as other industries; all the time promoting excellence of standards. In 2006 ITGS was formed to provide specialist IS and IT consultancy services; part of this formation included the acquisition of a UK Security and Safety consultancy.
