Charlie Edwards is a Senior Researcher and leads the Security Programme at Demos. His current work focuses on national security, corporate security, security sector reform; terrorism, policing, scenario planning and public value. He is the co-author of The Business of Resilience: Corporate Security for the 21st century (Demos 2006), Closing the Gap: Creating a shared vision of security sector reform (Demos 2006), and A Force for Change: Policing 2020 (Demos 2006).

Previous Work

Charlie has run futures workshops with senior Police officers through Centrex, the Central Police Training and Development Authority and with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Department for International Development (DFID). Charlie has worked for a political consultancy and in the UK Parliament. He began his career working at NATO. He is a Research Associate at the Centre for Defence Studies and has an MA in War Studies from King’s College London.
