Andy Hull is Senior Research Fellow on International Security at the Institute for Public Policy Research , where he leads the secretariat for ippr’s independent Commission on National Security in the 21st Century.

His particular areas of expertise include terrorism and counter-terrorism, crime, policing, and public participation.


Previous Work

Previously, Andy worked for the Metropolitan Police Authority as a policy officer on community engagement and counter-terrorism, where he researched and wrote the influential report, Counter-Terrorism: The London Debate.

Prior to this, Andy worked for the Metropolitan Police Service, managing a multi-agency initiative to reduce youth crime in the London Borough of Southwark.
